the ones the player use constantly, such as moving and shooting) feel unsatisfying. Because the biggest sin a game can make is have its main mechanics (i.e. All I'm gonna say is that were it not for the points I have established, the rest of the game, unchanged, would have been a lot more enjoyable. I'm not even going to get into the rest of the bad design, such as the repeating boss fights or the terrible fucking QTEs (thank god the current-gen remaster added the option to automate them).

The problem lies in the code behind the mechanic, not its visual interface. It still feels like shit to aim and shoot. Capcom later patched the game to add laser-sight aiming, but that doesn't change anything. The addition of these things are not problematic it's that the previous five points make these additions feel wasted.
Make it possible to (slowly) move while aiming sure, add the silly slides and somersaults and shit that the rest of the game design doesn't entice the player to use add more elaborate melee attacks. I figured I'd give it another try now that I heard the controls were fixed and some other things were updated. I've always been a PC gamer though and when it was ported it was a mess. So I've really been wanting to play Resident Evil 4 for years. It's not fucking complicated: all the devs had to do was take the mechanics of RE5, and add to them. RE4: Really trying to enjoy the game, but the controls are kind of ruining it for me. I do not understand how the previous five points made their way into this game. You can miss button-prompted-physical-attacks on fallen enemies, which was impossible in the previous two games.the "feeling" the player gets when their bullets hit targets) Shooting feels off, and so does the feedback from shooting enemies (i.e.Aiming also feels floaty and not as precise as it was in the previous two games.Moving feels floaty and disconnected from the environment.I'm going to do this in bullet-points so there is no mistaking what I am talking about exactly: If you go out of your way to make the game even more action than the previous one, how the fuck do you go about ruining what the gameplay designers of the two previous games got so right? I mean, Christ, the game is using the same fucking engine. And this is what I don't understand about the game. In contrast, Resident Evil 6 felt like shit. Shooting was precise, enemies would react appropriately, etc. RE5 went even more in the action department, but added strafing to the player's movement repertoire to compensate. After all, RE4 was a lot more action than the previous games, and yet, it was amazing for a lot of reasons, the main one being the movement and shooting feedback being so satisfying. But by itself, that decision isn't bad and certainly doesn't guarantee bad gameplay. For some, that was a bad idea, for others, a good idea. Its not the best game ever, but its quite a good rpg if you ask me.Resident Evil 6 went hardcore in the action genre, more so than the previous two games that preceded it. Then it became a trend to hate on the game as it generated clicks. It had a really awful framerate near launch on console, and also would just pause for several seconds at a time.

It's 5x the game I bought at launch now with all the free updates. I also loved No Man's Sky at launch, it was also exactly what I expected. Because I am not a rube it was exactly what I expected, sans parkour which would have been nice. I watched every bit of hype content for Cyberpunk. Immature kids.Īnyone with brain knows the limitations of a video game.
The ongoing crapping all over the game and dev is mostly a stupid herd mentality from people that don't know what they are talking about. Spending $80 entitles you to $80 worth of anger IMO. Some people were upset about bugs and broken promises, but people treat $80 game purchases like 30 year mortgages.

No bugs yet (I played it through a couple of times at launch on Series X and likewise had no problems with the exception of a single broken optional quest on my first play). I just bought it on from CDKeys last week to do a PC playthrough. Cyberpunk2077 is a great game with an amazing world to explore.
